• Pop!_Planet is still very much under development. Data for the wiki is being sourced from the Arch Linux and Ubuntu wikis, along with a bunch of completely unique content specific to Pop!_OS, and sourcing, converting and updating that content takes time; please be patient. • Welcome!

I'll get straight to the point.

When I started Pop!_Planet, I launched it because I saw a need for a centralized community for Pop!_OS. To be frank, I never expected the level of popularity it has achieved. Over the last year, we have gone from under 50 users, to almost 400 users. That's awesome! However... it also comes with a downside. We are rapidly running out of disk space on our server, and the bandwidth costs go up every month.

Pop!_Planet is not affiliated with System76 in any way, and is funded completely out of pocket. From day one, I said that I'd never use on-site ads (I hate them as much as you do), so the only monetization we get is through donations. Right now, the donations we receive don't even cover our overhead.

I know that most users will ignore this message, and that's ok. However, if even a few of our users are willing and able to donate a few dollars to help offset our expenses, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there, I'm a new comer to pop_os and am fascinated by its compact and functionality. However, my new computer has issue when installing. It is motherboard is b460, with intel 10600kf and nvidia 3070. I tried to install pop_os alone or aloneside with windows 10, both have failed. The problem was identical, once the file has been extracted and enter the next phase, it won't run long and report installation failed due to hardware error. I tried all 4 images from pop_os website and all four have identical issue.

I have successfully installed several other linux distros, including mint, ubuntu, manjaro. Pop_os is the only distro I cannot install (which is also the best I crave for, that is why I didn't give up XD). I have ensure that my secure boot and fast boot of win 10 have been disabled.

I can provide you with the intaller.log, the end part of the log is in the code block, and I have made a link to share you with the whole installer.log after my installation.

Hope someone would have clue about it. Thank you.

the whole installer.log

:)additional: the same file I used is also used to install in a VM. And it worked fine. Besides, I redownloaded and tried several pop_os images and they all got the identical problem. So I start to think that it would be the problem of Pop_os itself.

Is there any Compatibility issues with the new Nvidia graphics cards?

Is your Windows installation existing already? Do you want to keep it, or install Windows fresh?
OK, I've solved it by switch to a more powerful usb ... I was using a tf card maded usb to flash my device. The installation went well after I changed to a new usb. Thank you for being helpful. I just hope anyone in the future who encountered this problem would find this thread and slove it. Seems Popos has a higher requirement of usb than any other distros. XD
