• Pop!_Planet is still very much under development. Data for the wiki is being sourced from the Arch Linux and Ubuntu wikis, along with a bunch of completely unique content specific to Pop!_OS, and sourcing, converting and updating that content takes time; please be patient. If you can't find what you're looking for here, check the Arch Linux and Ubuntu wikis.
  • Welcome!

I'll get straight to the point.

When I started Pop!_Planet, I launched it because I saw a need for a centralized community for Pop!_OS. To be frank, I never expected the level of popularity it has achieved. Over the last year, we have gone from under 50 users, to almost 400 users. That's awesome! However... it also comes with a downside. We are rapidly running out of disk space on our server, and the bandwidth costs go up every month.

Pop!_Planet is not affiliated with System76 in any way, and is funded completely out of pocket. From day one, I said that I'd never use on-site ads (I hate them as much as you do), so the only monetization we get is through donations. Right now, the donations we receive don't even cover our overhead.

I know that most users will ignore this message, and that's ok. However, if even a few of our users are willing and able to donate a few dollars to help offset our expenses, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I'm very new to the linux community, never used pop os before. I actually installed it on my laptop and intend to use it as a daily driver however I've run into a hiccup.

I can't get the laptop online, no Wi-Fi drivers are installed on the laptop and I can't find them on my windows desktop online.

Can anyone help

I have a Redmibook 14. Ryzen 3500u apu with 8gb ram. It uses an Intel Wi-Fi card but not sure which one.

Even when I had the laptop running Windows it was difficult to setup the Wi-Fi but I managed to get the drivers.

Cheers,
Slav

Thanks for the reply, sorry I dont get it?

I've managed to set everything else up on my system and I'm currently using a USB wifi dongle.

I dont follow that post? I downloaded that MSI file but cant extract anything out of it. Nothing can open the MSI file.

Is there any other way to do this through terminal?

Dunno.

All I could do is to point the path, but I cannot walk the walk for you. If someone have personal experience with this, which I don't, maybe they can help you more accurately.

Hope you get this solved.

Thank Flip,

Anyone else able to assist? not sure if this is the best place to post.

My wifi is Atheros QCA6174 802.11ac

I'm a real ametuer when it comes to getting it running. Have no idea what I need to do. I've tried following a bunch of guides but nothing is working?

Is it possible to just replace the internal wifi adapter with another one that is easy to setup?
